Manchester United brought in some truly world class players in the summer transfer window, with Jose Mourinho well and truly splashing the case to bolster his squad. We expected to see several players depart too, but we didn’t…
That may be about to change in January however, and the first name could well be on the chopping block already. According to the Daily Express, the man who’s future is in doubt is Italian right-back, Matteo Darmian.
The 26-year-old has found himself out of favour under Jose Mourinho so far, with the new manager opting for Antonio Valencia; who has been excellent to date.
Darmian has been linked with a move to Naples when the window opens in just a few months, and if the club can recoup the £12million they paid for him, I wouldn’t be wholly against the idea of selling him.
It’s a shame because he started excellently, but as the season progressed his performances seemed to gradually decrease. Who knows, it could’ve just been a dip in form, but towards the end of the campaign, he didn’t look good whatsoever.
