Manchester United were at the wrong end of a broken record this weekend, as Jamie Vardy scored for the eleventh game in a row to break Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record. Now, one of BBC’s leading pundits Robbie Savage, is tipping United to sign Vardy when the January transfer window opens in a few weeks.
“If I was Manchester United I would buy Vardy. He would offer pace.” Robbie Savage began. “If someone were to bid for him in January and he asked to leave I don’t think you can blame the lad.”
Jamie Vardy is without doubt the hot striker in the Premier League at the moment, but many forget that he isn’t that young starlet that everyone seems to think. He’s now 28 (almost 29), and yes, he’s on a fantastic run at the moment, but is he really what United need? Probably not.
