Manchester United could be about to risk Tottenham fury by pursuing a move for Christian Eriksen.
That’s according to Transfermarketweb, per the Daily Express, who say that Jose Mourinho is pushing hard for a deal to sign the Denmark international.
The attacking midfielder has arguably been the best #10 in the Premier League this term, and no doubt he’d improve any side in world football if he did decide to leave White Hart Lane this summer.
If he made the move to Old Trafford I think me, like most Red Devils fans, would be absolutely delighted. He’d be a stunning acquisition but I have my doubts.
I find it hard to understand why Spurs would let him move to a direct rival under any circumstances, whatever the transfer fee. It’s not as if they need the money, and replacing Eriksen would be practically impossible for them.
After such an excellent season, I do imagine they’ll be interest aplenty in Eriksen, so don’t be surprised to see him on the move. I just cannot imagine he’ll be allowed to join another Premier League club. Perhaps look for him to move to Spain, Italy or Germany…
