Manchester United will face stiff competition to land world class manager this summer

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal is currently hanging on by a thread as manager at the moment, largely down to the FA Cup semi-final he has just guided his club into. However his long-term future certainly isn’t safe, and a change could be imminent.

The man everyone expects to take over is Jose Mourinho, but Manchester United may have to act fast if the latest reports coming out of the Daily Telegraph are to be believed.

They say that PSG are set to give United ‘stiff competition’ to bring in Jose Mourinho as manager, as the French side are considering sacking Laurent Blanc this summer, despite them already having Ligue 1 wrapped up.

This summer feels like United’s only chance to bring in the self-proclaimed Special One, and he seems to be crying out to land the job himself but will it happen? I guess time will tell.
