Radamel Falcao made his Manchester United debut away at Leicester City yesterday, and the Columbian striker made a good impression, despite being unable to find the back of the net. He was rather unfortunate with a sublime volley in the second half, and he put in a peach of a cross that Van Persie comfortably headed home.
However, we all know about El Tigre’s horrific injury record. And according to The Express, Manchester United are prepared to tear up Falcao’s loan deal if those injuries do continue.
Thankfully he’s been injury-free since his arrival in England, and long may that continue. However, whilst he’s on around £350k a week, you do understand Manchester United’s point of view. If he picks up a season ending injury, there is absolutely zero sense in paying his wages, when the contract can be ended and he can go back to Monaco and let them cover his pay-packet instead.
