Manchester United Football Club are on a good run of late, and behind the scenes, it looks as though deals are being completed, with Marouane Fellaini getting a contract extension and Morgan Schneiderlin on the verge of sealing a deal to Everton.
Now, it also seems like Jose Mourinho is planning moves for the summer transfer window already, with the Daily Star claiming that Manchester United are willing to spend £40million to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The report says that the self-proclaimed Special One has made Bakayoko is number one midfield target for next season, and he wants to beat out competition from Chelsea to secure the services of the 22-year-old.
Bakayoko currently plies his trade in his native France for AS Monaco and is predominantly deployed as a midfielder who protects the back four. He already has close to 100 first-team appearances under his belt at the highest level which is massive, and will certainly help ease him into new surroundings if he does decide to move on. His talents have already been recognised by France’s football team, having already played thirteen times for their U21 side.
Jose Mourinho has gotten every single transfer decision 100% correct so far, and you’d have to back him wholeheartedly if he makes a move for Bakayoko in the transfer market.
We’ll also certainly need some reinforcements in the midfield, particularly if that aforementioned deal for Morgan Schneiderlin does go through.
