Manchester United’s £37million man wants Old Trafford exit

Manchester United’s Juan Mata could be about to leave the Theatre of Dreams during this summer, and it’s a move that he wants to happen. That’s according to The Times, who say that the Spaniard is expected to try and leave Old Trafford before the end of the transfer window.

The English media outlet adds that Juan Mata, 28, is being targeted by Everton’s new manager Ronald Koeman – which would be a real statement of intent by the Merseyside club.

Mourinho and United have indicated that they’d like to keep hold of Juan Mata for the season ahead, but the former Chelsea man certainly wouldn’t have been happy after being subbed on, and then subbed off again in United’s Community Shield victory.

Our Portuguese manager and Mata aren’t shy of run-ins. Mourinho infamously sold the attacking midfielder to United whilst at Chelsea back in 2013, and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he were sold a second time by Jose.
