Manchester United’s Luke Shaw to have second operation on leg

Manchester United are looking likely to be without Luke Shaw for the majority of the season after that horrific injury he suffered against PSV on Tuesday, but his nightmare isn’t over just yet. As Sky Sports news claim that Shaw is set to have another operation on Friday.

The reasoning for the second operation is yet unknown, but due to the severity of the injury it probably will take multiple sessions in surgery to get it put right.

Injuries like this are much more mentally demanding than physically, its now up to Luke Shaw to stay positive, strong and keep himself hungry to return to the fold as soon as possible.

It is feared that Shaw will miss 6-9 months of action, despite a ‘clean’ break of his leg, but hopefully this won’t hamper his development as he progresses into one of the best left-back’s in world football.
