Manchester United’s interest in Zlatan Ibrahimovic is well documented, with Jose Mourinho clearly keen on bringing in the influential Swede on a free signing. However, that move could have encountered yet another problem…
Simon Stone, who works for the BBC, has said that Zlatan has been named in Sweden’s 35-man provision squad for the Olympic games which get’s underway at the start of August.
This would mean that Ibrahimovic would miss the entire pre-season with Manchester United, as well as the Community Shield, and possibly the first league game.

If Ibrahimovic does decide to represent his country at the Olympics, then I fathom to see how Manchester United will press on and sign him.
The club would want him to take part in their tour, to enable him to get familiar with his surroundings before the big kick-off on August 7th.
