Manchester United, alongside many other big football clubs, have been long-term admirers of Dortmund winger Marco Reus. There have been huge doubts about Reus’ future at his current club due to a release clause worth around £30million which is activated in the summer of 2015. A whole host of clubs look set to activate that in just over six months time.
Marco Reus will have a pick of clubs when the time comes, but it is believed that Chelsea are now in pole position, taking over Manchester United. The Express reckon that World Cup winner Andre Schurrle would be going the other way, and Chelsea are ready to tempt Dortmund’s resolve as early as January.
Reus is one of the best wide men in world football, as we’ve seen time and time again in the Champions League over the past few years. He’d make any side in world football a better team, but I still doubt whether he’l leave his boyhood club. Only time will tell…
