Manchester United’s squad for West Ham away has been revealed – report

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have been playing at a supremely high level recently, and it has been an absolute joy to watch. The manager seems to have reinstalled that winning mentality at the Theatre of Dreams, and now the new year starts with another tricky fixture for the reds.

They visit West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium tomorrow, and the Manchester Evening News have confirmed the squad that has travelled down South to take on Slaven Bilic’s Hammers.

The good news is that Michael Carrick is back involved as reported by Samuel Luckhurst earlier, who was also correct regarding Wayne Rooney’s absence from the matchday squad.

There are spots for the likes of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo who were both rested against Middlesbrough, and personally, I’d expect them to start. All the big-hitters including Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were all included. Although Eric Bailly is missing as he is due to link up with the Ivory Coast ahead of their African Cup of Nations campaign.

Squad in full:

De Gea, Romero, Johnstone, Fosu-Mensah, Valencia, Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Herrera, Carrick, Pogba, Fellaini, Young, Mata, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Ibrahimovic, Rashford.
