Marco Reus leaves door open for possible Manchester United move

Highly talented Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus remains coy on his future, and has left the door open for a possible move away from the Westfalenstadion, but the 24-year old does admit he is happy in Dortmund at the moment.

With two years left to run on his current deal, Marco Reus has a clause in his contract that becomes active next summer, when any club can purchase him for £28m. Dortmund are keen to get Reus tied down to a new contract in which this particular clause does not exist, and are prepared to offer the player a new deal with bigger wages so they don’t run the risk of losing him.

“I’m not saying anything about my contract,” Reus told Bild.

“But I do have the time to emphasise how good I feel at Dortmund.”

He’s a player I’d certainly welcome at Old Trafford, however I do feel it’ll be hard to prise him away from his boyhood club. His pace, power and ability to influence a match single-handedly would be a huge asset to any club, and if he does decide to leave Dortmund we’d surely be in for him.

Reus has scored an impressive 23 goals in 40 games in all competitions this season.
