On Monday Night Football, Manchester United overcame a 2-0 deficit against Crystal Palace to win the match 3-2 deep into injury time.
This was the first time that a side managed by Jose Mourinho has ever turned around a 2-0 scoreline in the Premier League, and what an absolutely fantastic time to do it.
A huge factor in the turnaround was the manager’s decision to bring on Marcus Rashford for Scott McTominay. The attacker from Wythenshawe changed the game with his electric pace and excellent decision-making, as he stretched the Palace back line several times.
Although Rashford didn’t directly contribute to any goals, his presence was felt and without him on the pitch, I doubt the result would have ended in United’s favour.
Shortly after the game, the 20-year-old took to Twitter to express his delight at the brilliant result.

Sometimes you forget that Rashford is a Red Devils fan through and through just like every single one of us. The result would have meant the world to him, and taking part in his first comeback like that is a real special moment.
It felt like a throwback to the good old days under Sir Alex Ferguson, and no doubt the players will be flowing with confidence going into the Liverpool game this coming Saturday.
