One year ago today, Manchester was left broken following a devastating attack at an Ariana Grande concert.
On that fateful evening, twenty-two innocent souls tragically lost their lives when doing something that they loved. It’s a sad world we live in.
Throughout the day, no doubt the fitting tributes will be pouring in, with the latest coming in from Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford.
The young Mancunian took to social media with some extremely fitting words to remember not only those who had passed away, but also the innocent victims who’s lives have been changed forever.
One year on, gone but not forgotten. My thoughts are with everyone who’s lives were lost or forever changed. Don’t let hate win. One love manchester ❤ ? pic.twitter.com/jetqK2gsWZ

I’m proud to be a Mancunian through-and-through. I always have been and I always will be. We do things differently here, and even in the darkest hour, our beautiful city found a way to unite; pulling each other out through the difficult situation that we as a city found ourselves in.
We tend to forget that footballers are real people too. Rashford, like you and me feels tragedy just as we do and this message from him really has come from the heart.
To the 22 and their families, plus countless others who’s lives have been permanently changed; we’ll never forget you.
