Marcus Rashford sends heartfelt message to Man United fans following defeat

Manchester United’s form of late has been abysmal. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to do something special in order to secure Champions League football for next season.

Derby day defeat is as bad as it gets, particularly when it feels as though the players are performing with so little fight, desire and drive.

All we ask is that you give your all for that special badge that’s on your chest. At the moment, our so-called superstars aren’t delivering. It’s easy to forget that for some, this is more than football. Marcus Rashford is born and raised a Mancunian, he’s a United fan, he always has been.

This morning, after the match, Rashford took to social media to send a heartfelt message to the Old Trafford faithful.

He’s right and while it’s nice to see him interact with his supporters, actions speak louder than words. To me it still looks like he’s nursing the injury he picked up in the game against Liverpool back in February, but we must see better from the forward if he wants to be our first-choice striker on a regular basis.

That dressing room is probably a pretty sad place at the moment and it’s easy for negativity to rub off on others. I’m fairly certain that Rashford is still giving his absolute all, but some of the players around him already look like they’re planning their summer holidays…
