Marcus Rashford is loving life at the moment, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer putting faith in the young man and allowing him to start as the main striker.
The rewards are already being reaped by Manchester United, with the young Mancunian scoring goals galore. Perhaps his biggest strike of the season came in the dying embers of the first half against Tottenham Hotspur after an excellent pass from Paul Pogba.
Rashford coolly slotted home to give United the lead. Solskjaer’s men would go on to hold on and win 1-0, scooping all three points. Shortly after the game, United’s #10 took to Twitter to send a short but sweet message to the Old Trafford faithful
Stuff like this just endears him to the fans even further. He gets it, he’s exactly like each one of us who has followed United all their lives and perhaps that’s why it’s that extra-bit special to us when Rashford plays well.
For one so young, he understands the game would be lost without the supporters. I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve seen that Rashford is the last man standing when applauding the supporters, particularly away from home.
What a man. What a day. What a player. Cheers, Marcus!
