Marcus Rashford sends message to the doubters after Man United beat Spurs 2-1

Well, it turns out that Old Trafford can still play host to those special nights, eh? Manchester United beat Spurs 2-1 yesterday evening, in a game in which the Red Devils were dominant throughout.

It was nice to see an Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side set up to attack and get at our opponents from the off and no doubt the early goal from Marcus Rashford helped.

For me, it was Rashford’s best performance in United colours. Although his goals weren’t the prettiest, the overall game was just sensational. He had Serge Aurier on toast with his pace and trickery, worked his socks off on both sides of the ball and even showed some fancy flicks and skills to boot.

I’m just thrilled that Rashford put in the complete performance that lasted for 90 minutes. Inconsistency is often the biggest gripe aimed at the young man – but nobody can have any qualms with him right now as he’s in sensational form.

Anyway, shortly after full-time, Rashford took to Twitter to send a defiant message to his doubters following yet another brilliant display:

Honestly, fair play to Rashford. He’s doing all his talking on the field and right now, he’s playing like a man possessed. It certainly feels as though he’s right at home in that left-wing position after much chopping and changing in terms of his spot on the field over the last few years.

Hopefully, this is just the start of the best-ever run in Rashford’s career so far. He’s playing at a super-high level right now, and suddenly those doubters are starting to disappear…
