Manchester United Football Club still have work to do in the 2020/21 season, with the Europa League campaign continuing this week. Before that, though, players have been busy relaxing and socialising. Amongst the hot topics today is a fresh Mason Greenwood tattoo.
Yes, the 18-year-old has gotten what looks to be his first piece of ink, and I have to say, it looks like a beauty.
Greenwood was dynamite on the field post-lockdown, so he’s treated himself to some body art off it – following in the footsteps of Marcus Rashford by getting a sleeve done on his arm.
Personally, tattoos aren’t really my thing but this looks superb. I love the detail of the wolf, particularly it’s ears that look like trees in a forest.
Now, though, attentions turn back to Europa League football. Greenwood will have a huge part to play if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils are to lift that trophy for a second time.
I somehow don’t think we’ll see him take to the field against LASK this Wednesday, though, with the Red Devils already 5-0 up.
This could be the perfect time to offer minutes to fringe players like Jesse Lingard, Odion Ighalo, Daniel James and Juan Mata. I’d also love to see some youngsters given an opportunity. I’m looking at Teden Mengi, James Garner and Ethan Laird as possibilities.
It’s now about getting the job done, coming through the game unscathed and going into the quarter-finals feeling fit and fresh. I don’t doubt that whatever team Solskjaer puts out there will be good enough for this one.
Sure, the draw has been kind to us but we’ll have to be at our best to ensure we give ourselves every chance at lifting the cup. Greenwood is key to those hopes.
