Manchester United returned to winning ways last time out against Everton. Now, it’s time for Jose Mourinho’s men to kick on and start to move up the Premier League table.
Tomorrow, the Red Devils head South to take on an in-form AFC Bournemouth side who are flying under Eddie Howe. Make no mistake about it, the game itself will be an extremely tight-knit encounter, but a win here is absolutely vital heading into two tough games against both Juventus and Manchester City.
Kick-off time: 12:30 BST
Stadium: Vitality Stadium
Referee: Martin Atkinson
The fact that whatever the result, Bournemouth will remain in front of us in the table come the weekend’s end is pretty damning. Howe’s side have been playing an attractive style of football, so-much-so that, the Englishman has been touted to replace the man who’ll be in the opposing dugout tomorrow lunchtime.
Mourinho met the media earlier today and gave us some mixed team news. Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez are now fit and available for selection, while Marouane Fellaini and Diogo Dalot remain sidelined.
Perhaps Romelu Lukaku will come back into the side after sitting out last time, while the likes of Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba simply have to play.
United are actually favourites going into this one. They’re about evens with most bookies, while for the hosts, you can get odds of over 3/1. Loyalty aside, having a cheeky fiver on Bournemouth could well be the move, just in case our poor away form continues…
Prediction: AFC Bournemouth 2-3 Manchester United
I’m going bold. I fancy a victory in a high-scoring affair. Hopefully, Lukaku will bag himself a goal or two and get that confidence flowing once again.
