Match Preview: Club Brugge vs Manchester United

Manchester United and their fans can almost taste the prospect of being back in the Champions League proper, and Louis van Gaal’s side are just ninety minutes away from making that a reality. The reds hold a 3-1 lead from the home leg and they’ll be looking to finish the job off in Bruges tonight.

Memphis Depay scored two wonderful goals first time around and he’ll be hoping to play in a similar fashion this evening. Wayne Rooney has been off the boil recently so it could be a good opportunity for him to grab himself a goal. We could see Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera involved too, and it’ll be good if the pair can get some minutes.

Team news

United will be without Marcos Rojo, as he’ll be playing an hour for the reserves tomorrow to gain some match fitness. Jonny Evans has been left behind, as has Antonio Valencia. The young duo of James Wilson and Andreas Pereira will both sit this one out, whereas Phil Jones is still injured.

Score Prediction: Club Brugge 1-2 Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal’s men know how to play on the big stage and hopefully tonight will be no different. It should be a comfortable progression through to the Champions League proper.
