Match Preview: Manchester United vs Singha All-Stars

Tomorrow officially marks David Moyes’ reign as Manchester United manager, as the lads take on the Singha All-Stars in Thailand, before heading off to Sydney. It’ll be interesting to see how the new boss sets the side up, especially with the 18-man squad seems extremely heavy in the midfield department.

Wilfried Zaha is the name on everyone’s lips at the moment, and I’m looking forward to seeing the tricky winger in action. Hopefully he along with other youngsters like Adnan Januzaj and Jesse Lingard will get some time to impress. Since his arrival, Moyes has always had an intent to use homegrown talent and continue the ‘United way’. So we should see an example of that tomorrow.

I fully expect Moyes to play the strongest team available, and Welbeck is the lone striker for this part of the tour so its pretty obvious he’ll be playing up top on his own.

Although its almost impossible to guess the starting line-up for a pre-season friendly, I’ll give it a go.

Predicted starting XI

Lindegaard; Rafael, Ferdinand, Jones, Evra; Zaha, Cleverley, Carrick, Januzaj, Giggs; Welbeck

Score prediction: United 3-0 Singha All-Stars
