Michael Carrick drops huge hint that he could be back for Arsenal game

Manchester United were without the services of Michael Carrick for over six months as he suffered ligament damage towards the back end of last season, and after being back for just two games, the England midfielder is injured again. Sky Sources told us that he is to undergo a scan on a groin injury, and tonight Carrick himself took to Twitter to speak out about it.

Carrick expressed his disappointment at being sidelined for the next two international games, but he dropped a hint in suggesting that he could be back for United’s away trip to Arsenal in just under a fortnight as he adds ‘hopefully no more than that though’. If fit, he has an excellent chance of starting as part of a three-man midfield in that game, purely because of his experience.

If fit, should Carrick start against Arsenal? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
