Mourinho left sweating as Man United could be without seven first-teamers vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United and international breaks have never been a good match. In fact, things are looking particularly grim at this point in time.

Now, according to The Sun, the Red Devils are sweating on the fitness of as many as seven players – with a hugely important fixture against Crystal Palace just on the horizon…

Let’s start at the back. First up, we have Victor Lindelof who is suffering with an illness. He had to be substituted during Sweden’s 1-0 victory over Turkey with the problem.

Then you have Antonio Valencia. He has been missing recently, and The Sun says that he has had mouth surgery recently, meaning he is still a doubt.

In terms of midfielders, Paul Pogba didn’t take part with France during the recent international break due to a thigh injury, while his playing partner, Marouane Fellaini, is nursing a groin problem.

Marcus Rashford limped off during England’s come-from-behind victory over an excellent Croatia side. Anthony Martial has a hip problem, with Romelu Lukaku struggling with a calf injury.

This is just a horrendous list, that’s immensely long. The Christmas period is the absolute worst time to get it as the fixtures can start mounting up quickly. Hopefully, these guys aren’t out for too long and they’re back and fighting fit soon…
