Moyes set for United job

As a 21-year old lad growing up in Manchester and supporting United, i’ve never seen anyone else at the helm of Manchester United. As sad and daunting as it may be, all that is about to change within the next couple of days, with David Moyes expected to be installed as the new boss.

Moyes has never won a major trophy, but has that longevity that a club like United needs. The Scot has been in charge of Everton for 11 seasons now and has done extremely well on a limited budget, he has that ability to find that hidden gem and turn them into a world class player.

Bookmakers have slashed Moyes’ odds right down to 1/12 on to become the next United boss, and the former Celtic defender is apparently holding talks with Everton director Bill Kenwright tonight, whether or not that is about the possibility of him taking the United job I don’t know, but i’m sure the topic will come up.

Although he may not be United fans first choice, to me he is the logical one, and I expect it’ll be confirmed tomorrow or Friday so we better get used to seeing a new face in the Old Trafford dugout!
