Neymar ‘open’ to Manchester United transfer

Manchester United Football Club are clearly intent on bringing a big name player into Old Trafford this summer, and the latest name on every bodies lips has been Neymar Jr, of Barcelona.

Neymar, 23, was on fire for Barcelona last season, and according to The Guardian, the Brazilian is ‘open’ to a move to Manchester United. He is attracted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League, and the rich history of Manchester United is also key.

Whilst I would absolutely love to see a player of his calibre at Old Trafford, I highly doubt this transfer will happen. Why would he want to leave Barcelona who are the best club football side in the world – unless money is his key motivation.

He could be using Manchester United to get a new contract at the Camp Nou, similarly to how Sergio Ramos used United’s interest to do the same at Real Madrid.

There is no doubting that Manchester United can afford Neymar albeit he’ll cost a lot, its more a case of whether we can lure him to Old Trafford which I highly doubt.
