No Olympics for Chica

Sir Alex Ferguson has today confirmed that Mexico international Javier Hernandez will not be pulling on the Mexican shirt at this summers olympic games.

Last summer he won the Gold Cup with his national side, he also finished top scorer and won the tournaments best player. The summer before that he represented his country in the World Cup, and scored important goals against Argentina and France.

However he has struggled to hit top form this term. Whether that’s down to a lack of playing time, injuries, or tiredness we can only guess. There is no doubt a rest will do him the world of good though. We need him hitting top form next season if we are to make it into the latter stages of the cup competitions swell as a title challenge in the league.

“His form last season was fantastic,” said Ferguson. “He’s found the second year more difficult, but a lot of that is down to not having a summer break for three years and playing every summer for his country. Next year he will be fine as we have agreed with the Mexican Football Association that he is going to get the requisite rest that he needs to perform in the Premier League.”

  1. I can see why you are only a surrogate dad.

There is no substitute for the care of our young.

He is our young player. He is our future.
Were any of our children to become a participant in the paralympics, I would remain as proud and as supportive of him.

I like your sense of humour, but can’t ignore your choice of target and content. All’s fair when taking the floor.

When you applied for that stand-in position, did you perhaps think they meant stand-up?
