Official: Manchester United Football Club sack Louis van Gaal

Manchester United have confirmed the departure of Dutch manager, Louis van Gaal. The 64-year old has left the club with immediate effect, along with his backroom staff and coaching team. Sadly, his FA Cup victory couldn’t save him his job, and it looks as though the lack of Champions League football proved costly.

In his first season in charge, Louis van Gaal did exactly what was asked of him as he delivered Champions League football back to Old Trafford.

However this season has been in stark contrast to that. The football on display hasn’t been easy on the eye, and the fans, and some players have clearly lost patience with the Iron Tulip.

Sadly, the club didn’t cover themselves in glory in the way they went about his sacking, but it was the right decision.

The guys at Old Trafford Faithful would like to wish Louis van Gaal all the best for the future, and a sincere thank you for some excellent memories over the last two years.
