Official: Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof’s squad numbers revealed

Manchester United Football Club have finally confirmed the shirt numbers that our two new signings will wear. Romelu Lukaku will take the number nine jersey, previously worn by Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Victor Lindelof will now wear the number two.

The Red Devils need a new goalscorer, and obviously, the 24-year-old Lukaku has bagged for fun in Premier League football since his arrival in England. His 25-goal haul in the top flight last term blitzed Ibrahimovic’s debut United tally of 18, and that can only be a plus for us going forward.

Victor Lindelof, AKA the ‘Iceman’ is somewhat of an unknown. He’s never played in such a physically demanding league before, but I’m sure he’ll be a success for us. The last owner of the #2 jersey was Rafael da Silva.

The lads have been involved in our pre-season tour from day one, and no doubt they’ll be looking to get their first minutes on the field against the LA Galaxy tomorrow night.

Personally, I hope they both start. It’d be a great test of their ability and attitude, plus it gives us all the chance to see them in action. It’s fair to say, I’m quite excited.
