Our Injury Problems Worsen Ahead Of Wigan At Home

Injury problems have hampered Manchester United for a number of years now, and it seems the curse is still ongoing at the start of this season. Yesterday Shinji Kagawa confirmed that he felt a twinge in his back, and during Holland’s game last night RvP was taken off at half time due to a muscle problem in his leg.

The club are awaiting news on both injuries, however neither sounds to serious. Sir Alex will probably reveal how long they may face on the sidelines on Friday during his pre-match press conference ahead of our game vs. Wigan. If both players were to miss the game, I’d expect us to play a 4-4-2 formation, with Welbeck and Chica up front and Cleverley and Carrick in the centre.

RvP and Kagawa have arguably been our most influential players in our opening three league games, and as the Champions League starts next midweek, our injury-hit squad is going to face a stern fitness test over the coming weeks.
