Manchester United’s visit to Liverpool was arguably the first time the Red Devils have missed Paul Pogba ever since he suffered a hamstring injury.
For the most part, Jose Mourinho’s men have looked pretty convincing. But, against our fiercest of rivals, we lacked that cutting edge and spark.
Pogba’s creativity and incisiveness potentially could have won us that game – and with him on the field, maybe Manchester United would have been bolder when attacking.
Now, the 24-year-old has taken to Instagram to provide another injury update in video form.
There has been no definitive return date given by Manchester United at all – and that’s what I find most concerning. Maybe it’s just Mourinho doing his best Sir Alex Ferguson impression, keeping his cards as close to his chest as possible.
Who knows, this injury could be worse than anyone feared, and maybe they don’t catually know how long it’ll take for Pogba to recover. One thing is for certain, the Red Devils need their talisman back sooner rather than later, because our fixture list looks tough over the next few weeks.
