Paul Pogba ready to hand in Man United transfer request: report

With no Champions League football on the table, there was always the chance that key Manchester United players would want to leave Old Trafford this summer.

Amongst those players is Paul Pogba, and now it seems as though the 26-year-old is ready to do what he can to depart from Salford Quays.

According to Spanish media outlet ABC, translated via 101 Great Goals, the midfield superstar is ready to hand in a transfer request at United – in an effort to force through a move to Real Madrid during this window.

After spending big on the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, Zinedine Zidane’s summer spending clearly isn’t done as he looks to push Los Blancos back to the very top.

ABC do add that United don’t want to lose their key man without a fight, with the 20-time Premier League champions demanding €180m (£160m) to let Pogba head to the Spanish capital during this summer.

With three years left on his Reds deal the ball is in United’s court. They are under absolutely no pressure whatsoever to sell Pogba if they don’t want to. But if the player does his bit to force a move through to Real, things could change as they wouldn’t want to keep an unhappy player at Old Trafford.
