It’s fair to say that Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba were never really best buddies during their time at Manchester United, but the disrespect from the Frenchman has been taken to a whole new level.
Yesterday, Pogba was embroiled in ‘tweet-gate’ as an ill-timed social media post landed him in hot water, but apparently, that was just the start…
According to the Daily Mirror, Pogba led the dressing room celebrations as Mourinho lost his job, as he was high-fiving his teammates in sheer joy.
If this is true (and I stress that point), then there is just no place for him at this club. There is absolutely no need for it, and once again, Pogba is making it all about himself. I believe that it was his one-on-one ego battle that was the start of the downfall for Mourinho, but he has to remember that he is just a player.
United coped before Pogba got here, and they will certainly keep moving if he is to be sold. The attitude, the diva-side, the average performances. How long can United tolerate that? I’m just not sure they will for much longer.
The player now has no excuses whatsoever. He got his wish, Mourinho left. If he fails to perform under Solskjaer, I can’t imagine it’ll be long before the fans start to turn.
