It feels like every five minutes we’re being presented with a fresh piece of information regarding Manchester United’s proposed move to bring in Paul Pogba. Now, this latest bit of news comes from the reliable media outlet BBC, and one of their top journalists.
Howard Nurse was responding to fan questions on Twitter earlier on in the day, when the obvious question about Paul Pogba inevitably cropped up.
He was asked about whether a deal or not would go through, and Nurse responded by confirming that a move for the 23-year-old midfielder is close.
This would be a stunning bit of business if Jose Mourinho can somehow pull it off, and at this point in time there is no doubt that Manchester United are favourites to secure Pogba for a world record fee.
It just shows how much of a lure Manchester United is for the majority of footballers, and they can still persuade top players to join even without Champions League football.
