Manchester United have been missing Luke Shaw since September now, but finally their man is back in training. Paul Scholes clearly thinks highly of the former Southampton left-back, and has claimed United have missed him dearly.
“Even as a left back he gives great penetration and that’s something they (Manchester United) have missed.” Paul Scholes said.
Luke Shaw started this season in scintillating form, and he was a real threat when United were on the attack. His pinpoint crossing, ability to run up and down the flank all game, as well as his defensive presence has certainly been missing.
Although Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian have all done well out there, having Shaw back will be absolutely huge.
Thankfully the 20-year old is now back in full training with his teammates, and although its unlikely we’ll see him this season, he will get a full pre-season under his belt.
Paul Scholes has often been scathing in his criticism of United this season, but his praise to Luke Shaw shows just how much of an influence the young man can be upon his return.
