Petrucci Extends Posh Loan

Our only piece of business on transfer deadline day was young Italian midfielder Davide Petrucci extending his initial one month loan at Peterborough United until the end of the season. He has made two appearances for the Championship side since his loan in January.

Big things are expected of the 21-year old attacking midfielder, but he has yet to make an appearance for the first team, so a loan move is in the best interest of all parties.

Petrucci told Peterborough’s official website: ” I am very happy. I only signed for a month in the first place because it was my first loan spell. I didn’t know what to expect.” He added. “However, since the first few days, I realised that I wanted to stay for longer and I am very pleased to be here until the end of the season.”

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson, who is the son of Alex Ferguson had this to say upon completion of the deal: “The ones I brought in have made a difference, Wootton and Petrucci were a no-brainer coming from there [United] because they are good players.”
