Phil Jones to miss Everton game

Manchester United centre-back Phil Jones will be unavailable for selection when United host Everton on Wednesday night, due to picking up his fifth booking of the season resulting in a one-game suspension.  The 20-year old was yellow carded in the game against Spurs, and has featured in the last seven home games for United.

Phil Jones’ versatility has been vital this year, and the young man is certainly developing into the player we all thought he could be when we dished out big money to sign him from Blackburn Rovers.

Wayne Rooney and Antonio Valencia are the other two players who are currently just one booking away from an automatic ban, and if they pick up another booking before New Years Eve they will be forced to miss one Premier League game.
