Manchester United Football Club welcomed Chris Smalling back from England duty prematurely, just over a week ago now. It was confirmed that the centre-half had picked up an injury; with the Football Association choosing not to specify the nature of the problem.
Now we could have learned more, as the Daily Mirror have snapped the 27-year-old with what looks like a brace on his right leg. Now, I’m no doctor but this obviously doesn’t look good for the short-term.
To be honest, we still haven’t been given an update as to how long we can expect him to miss, and maybe, we’ll have to wait until Jose Mourinho meets the media ahead of our home game against West Brom.

This definitely presents the manager with a problem, particularly going into the busy month of April as we’re still fighting it out in the Europa League, as well as our top four hopes hanging on by a thread.
If Phil Jones is still out, that leaves us with just Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo, who’ll both be extremely tired following their time with their countries – Ivory Coast and Argentina respectively.
