Manchester United’s two-week hiatus is almost over, with the international break ending with a bang as the Red Devils host Leicester City in an eagerly-anticipated game at Old Trafford.
For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he’ll be hoping to have some players back from injury, for the clash, though that’s by no means a guarantee given the severity of some players’ problems.
One man who could well be back in the mix is Diogo Dalot, as he, alongside Anthony Martial and David de Gea, arrived for training at Carrington today as these guys haven’t been selected for their respective countries during the current international break.
Although these guys would have been disappointed to not get selected by their nations, at least they’ll be in tip-top shape for United. The fortnight off will do their bodies the world of good – particularly before what is going to be a hectic end to September.
The onus is now on the likes of De Gea and Martial to lead by example. Our superstar Spaniard has a contract situation hanging over his head and the sooner that’s put to bed (one way or the other) the better it’ll be for all involved. As for Martial, he’s started the season well and we’ll need him to hit that20+ goal mark if we’re to stand any chance at competing at the business end of the season.
