Photos: Manchester United’s key man shows awful positioning for two Watford goals

Manchester United Football Club have had an awful week. Jose Mourinho’s men have lost three games on the bounce, and that’s the first time the self-proclaimed Special One has managed that unwanted stat since 2002. The team just don’t look anywhere near good enough at the moment, with one man a particular concern.

Our captain Wayne Rooney has struggled massively at the start of the season, and it has been a real shame to watch him play so poorly. Now 30, you know his best years are well and truly behind him, but you still expect something from a player of his calibre.

However, he just looks absolutely finished at the top level. Rooney has been a couple of yards off the pace in the opening games of this current campaign, and you feel Jose Mourinho dropping him from the starting line-up isn’t too far away.

Just look at his positioning for two of Watford’s goals below. He’s just completely out of the picture when he should be busting a gut to get back and help the team out.
