Picture: Aaron Wan-Bissaka in senior England training for first time

For all their faults, you have to say that Manchester United’s new signings have all made a great start to life at Old Trafford.

This leads me to believe that actually, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does know what he’s doing when it comes to signing players. Daniel James’ goals speak for themselves, as does Harry Maguire’s leadership. My personal pick of the bunch, though, is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Englishman is probably the best slide-tackler I’ve seen at Old Trafford in almost a decade, and quite frankly, it’s a joy watching him bomb up and down that right-hand side all game long.

For his early-season exploits, Wan-Bissaka earned his first senior England call-up. Yesterday, the 21-year-old was involved in Three Lions training for the first time; and it’s great to see!

Hard work does pay off, though I’m sure several Crystal Palace fans are feeling aggrieved as Wan-Bissaka could have easily earned a call-up to the England squad based on his performances from last season.

That said, £50million is already looking like a bit of a bargain for United. This lad has huge potential and could well be at this club for around a decade if all goes well.

Now, it’s about slowly adding to the squad and turning this team into a side that can challenge for major honours.
