Being a glass half full kinda’ guy, I thought there were positives aplenty to take from Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
First and foremost, we lost twice at Molineux last term, while the performance was considerably better than those two trips.
For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer it’s seemingly about building from the back. Harry Maguire is a key addition, as is Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The right-back has been truly exceptional since making the move to Old Trafford and last night was no different.
His performance against Wolves earned him a spot in The Express‘ Team of the Week, though he was the sole United player within the starting XI:
Wan-Bissaka just goes from strength-to-strength. Statistically, he was by far and away the best player on the pitch with The Express hailing Wan-Bissaka’s ‘supreme’ defensive ability while also taking notice that his quality in the final third is improving.
I just love him. Wan-Bissaka plays for the shirt. He always gives 100% and for one so young, the Englishman plays with a real maturity. As he becomes more accustomed to life in Manchester while playing with all eyes on him, he’ll only get better.
Next up for Wan-Bissaka is a home game against his former employers, Crystal Palace. No doubt he’ll be looking to impress in that one.
