Manchester United Football Club completing their sixth signing of the summer yesterday, as Anthony Martial became the Premier League’s most expensive teenager in history. His £36million move to Old Trafford was completed swiftly by Edward Woodward, and another one that went under the radar of the media.
Straight after completing his medical on Sunday night, Martial flew back to France’s national team training camp where he was greeted by his new Manchester United teammate Morgan Schneiderlin.
The pair will obviously know each other fairly well, and with Martial unable to speak English at this moment in time you’d expect the senior figure in Schneiderlin to help him along for the first few months at least.
Hopefully Martial can perform well for his national team and come back injury-free then hit the ground running for Manchester United. First up is an extremely tough task against Liverpool at Old Trafford, and what a good time that’d be if he were to score his first senior goal in England against United’s bitterest of rivals.
