Manchester United faithful are no doubt feeling a little hard done by at this point, although there were many positives to be taken from the Red Devils’ 2-2 draw away at Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho’s men have never had much luck at Stamford Bridge, up until the 95th minute, it looked like that was about to change. Unfortunately, a late Ross Barkley leveller put a dampener on the afternoon.
There were a few positives that United can build upon from. Anthony Martial being the biggest one. Again, the Frenchman was absolutely outstanding. His ability to stick the ball in the back of the net in any given situation is just sensational.
Shortly after the match, the Frenchman took to Twitter to post a photo of himself pointing at the United badge.
Whether that’s a hint into the future, I’d love to think so. Obviously, his future is still up in the air at this point as he’s out of contract in the summer, but we’re all praying that Martial sticks around.
The one thing he has done is seal his place in the starting line-up for the foreseeable future. He is by far and away our best player in the final third and long may that continue.
