Picture: Antonio Valencia likes post asking for Mourinho sack, swiftly apologises

Manchester United’s winless streak stands at four. The pressure is building on Jose Mourinho. A 0-0 home draw against a struggling Valencia CF just isn’t good enough.

Following the match, Antonio Valencia found himself in hot water. He ‘liked’ a post on Instagram, suggesting that the self-proclaimed Special One should lose his job, as you can see from the picture below…

To me, this just highlights how deep the problems at United run. Something like this would have never happened under Sir Alex Ferguson – from the club captain, no less…

After understandably getting heat from the Old Trafford faithful, Valencia took to Twitter to confirm that he had accidentally liked the post, before adding that he’s fully supportive of the manager.

I mean, you’d at least read the post before liking it. For Mourinho, this couldn’t have happened at a worse time. The walls are closing in, this will only make the dressing room even tenser.

Perhaps it’s an idea to ban some lads from social media. It was Instagram that landed Paul Pogba in hot water, just a week later, Valencia finds himself in trouble.

I guess I’m just struggling to believe that this was an accident…
