Manchester United Football Club are seemingly closing in on their first summer signing, as Jose Mourinho is nearing in on a deal to acquire Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Today, The Mirror have pictured the 25-year-old arriving at Carrington, ahead of his proposed £52million switch to Old Trafford.
The image comes just hours after Sky Sources confirmed that the Brazil international was set to have his medical today, with the deal hopefully going to be wrapped up before Fred jets off to Russia to take part in the World Cup.

After Michael Carrick’s retirement while Marouane Fellaini’s situation is still up in the air, midfield had to be priority number one for the Red Devils. To acquire a player with Freds’ ability is huge and no doubt he’ll be perfect in a three-man trio alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.
We’re getting a quick, energetic footballer who’s an excellent passer of the ball. Fred is also strong in the tackle and he will not shy away from doing the dirty work. Perhaps the only surprise is that he’s only 5’7 which is somewhat small for a Mourinho team; but he’ll no doubt have height aplenty around him, so it shouldn’t hurt the side as a whole.
