PICTURE: ‘Bring Ronaldo home’ banner set to fly over Real Madrid’s next game

A group of Manchester United fans, calling themselves ‘United Reel’, have launched a campaign to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. Their campaign ‘Bring Ronaldo Home’ was brought to light on Twitter earlier today, and the first pictures of this plane banner have emerged.

Ronaldo, 29, spent six glorious years at Manchester United where he won absolutely everything possible. Now at the team he supported as a boy, he has done exactly the same after helping them complete La Decima last season.

For me, I’d much prefer it if the money was spent elsewhere. Ronaldo is approaching 30 and problems about his knee seem to be persisting. If you offered me a choice between Cristiano Ronaldo and Mats Hummels, I’d choose Hummels everyday of the week.

The banner has cost the group a huge £3,000 and will fly over the El Madrigal stadium at Real Madrid’s next game.
