Manchester United Football Club. A place where legends are built and dreams are made. Back in the early nineties, the Class of 92 made their mark on the footballing world; including one of the finest strikers of a ball, David Beckham.
The free-kick master plied his trade at Old Trafford for just over a decade, before switching to Real Madrid. He then jetted off to America to play for the LA Galaxy, before moves to Milan and PSG followed. Wherever he has been, Becks has had a positive impact, but none more love him than his own people here in England.
Last night, he was handed the PFA Merit Award, for his achievements to club and country. The 41-year-old follows in the footsteps of his former Red teammate Ryan Giggs in winning the trophy, and it didn’t take long for Manchester United to congratulate him for his achievements.

It really is richly deserved. Beckham is one of the biggest sporting icons in England, and also the world. He has given his all wherever he has been, and that was the even the case when England wanted to host the Olympic games in 2012, and also he helped out with our World Cup bid shortly after.
As a proud Englishman, I feel supremely lucky to call him one of our own, so congratulations Becks!
