Picture: David de Gea poses with his PFA Team of the Year award

Manchester United Football Club ended their Premier League season in style on Tuesday evening, with a convincing 3-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth. Louis van Gaal’s men now have the FA Cup final to look forward too, after a disappointing league campaign.

Louis van Gaal’s men finished in fifth, missing out on Champions League football on goal difference which just isn’t good enough. However there has been some bright sparks this season – one of which is David de Gea, who has been scintillating once again this year.

His brilliant performances were rewarded with a spot in the PFA Team of the Year once again, and that trophy will sit nicely along with his Sir Matt Bubsy Player of the Year award.

The Spaniard also came close to winning another individual prize – the Golden Glove, but a last minute own goal from Chris Smalling meant the trophy went to Arsenal’s Petr Cech instead.
