Manchester United is a huge club, with some big-time players donning out in their red and white down the years.
This weekend, two former Red Devils, and global icons, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Zlatan Ibrahimovic met, as their MLS sides went head-to-head in a league encounter.
After the game, the German midfielder took to Twitter to share an excellent snap of the former teammates embracing, and it was excellent to see.

These guys are both known across the footballing community. Two legends who have won absolutely everything in the sport, and we were lucky enough to call both our own, despite their stays at Old Trafford both being relatively short.
I guess their Manchester United stories will be similar. We witnessed promise aplenty from the pair, without really delivering their absolute best.
Schweinsteiger certainly showed us his capabilities, but injuries largely blighted his career at the Theatre of Dreams, whereas the same can be said about Ibrahimovic, although he did win us an EFL Trophy almost single-handedly.
That said, once a red, always a red and they’ll always be a part of our club’s sublime history. It’s nice to see them enjoying a catch-up while across the pond. It’s equally joyous watching them tearing up the MLS for Chicago and Los Angeles respectively.
