PICTURE: ITV have a cheap dig at ‘mid-table’ Manchester United

Yesterday evening we learnt that Manchester United and Nike would be ending their sponsorship deal, and Adidas are currently in pole position to take over as the Red Devil’s new kit manufacturers. United are believed to be after £70million a year, which is a huge increase on the current £23.5million a year they currently receive.

ITV covered the news, and on Twitter they posted this below, which includes a cheap little jibe labelling Manchester United as a ‘mid-table’ side. Yes, United finished seventh last year, but thats the first time in over twenty years that we’ve finished outside the top three. Hardly a mid-table side, eh ITV?

Very mid-table comment from a thoroughly mid table broadcaster. TV’s equivalent of the Daily Star.

Well, as good as Van Gaal is, there is a hell of a lot of work to do before the new season starts and they had better get their fingers out and start splashing some serious cash on world class quality players damn quick before its too late, because there is no way the current squad will be able to win the title!
